17% FEWER BELIEVE US WINNING WAR ON TERROR SINCE OBAMA INAUGURATION

A recent survey of likely voters finds that pessimism about our success in the War on Terror "continues to grow" with only 45 percent saying they think the U.S. is winning that war, a 17-point drop from its one-time high of 62 percent in February 2009  .

Rasmussen found   that 45 percent think the U.S. is winning the war, 21 percent think the terrorists are winning, and 26 percent think that the neither side has an advantage. The 45 percent figure has dropped ten points since May of 2010.
The number of those who think the U.S. is winning has been steadily dropping since May of 2011.

The plain fact there is a "war on terror" is ludicrous! Since we cause terrorism by shoving our form of government by military force up every middleastern countries' a$$es and causing the worldwide violence in the first place makes the "war on terror" an idiocy. Are we here to somehow "win" an Idiocy?

I don't get the whole Afghan soldier and police training issue. How did a supposed war on terror justify training those people to defend their country?

poor planning going into both theaters from the start 608. Should have never been in Iraq, especially considering that it was/is their neighbor that is developing nuke capabilities and supports international terror groups. And we were foolish to think we could somehow turn Afghanistan into a jeffersonian democracy. We should have just went in and propped up the tribal leaders who supported us and used them to bash the heads of those that didn't while we hunted down al queda.

We just need to leave these people alone. We have done too much damage as it is, They DO NOT WANT OUR WAY OF LIFE. Doesn't anyone get that?

So why do they move here 8:05. They leave their country because they want a better life and when they get here they want to change the way we do things. That is the reason we are going down hill. We are changing to appease the people from 3rd wold countries and we are going to be a 3rd world country real soon.

Tell that to Bin Laden.

The terrorists ARE winning, in the same way we won against the Soviet Union. We, the USA, have spent TRILLIONS on "security". We have turned our country into the most pervasively watched, photographed, searched, and monitored "republic" on the face of the earth. The only countries that do it more than us are China and North Korea. So, keep cheering and chanting USA! USA! USA!. Like a witches spell, you may be able to conjure up ANOTHER war in a third world cesspool in search of the latest and greatest boogeyman.
