"Check your sources to see what's happening at PRMC--3rd floor closed; inspections underway; MRSA"
I did do some checking on this matter and it was confirmed that one of the third floor sections of PRMC is closed. Now, that being said, I also learned that under Obama's new leadership, inspectors are visiting Hospitals and in house surgery centers from Medicare and Medicaid. IF there is an issue and it is not rectified within a very short period of time they can and will close them down.
As for the immediate details as to why this section of PRMC is closed, I have not confirmed. This could be as simple as a paperwork issue.

Because of scabies, not MRSA.
Medicare and Medicaid reps in hospitals, nursing homes, etc is nothing new under Obama. Conditions for participants of both programs have always been in place with safety and health standards to be met.
bad case and very contagious case of SCABBIES?
Anon @9:44 has it correct. One nurse spread it around and infected over 30 people.
It was a patient that started the spread of this not a nurse.
To add to my comment at 10:12 it was spread to other nurses and NOT patients as far as I know.
PRMC has a very contagious strain of Scabbies running through hospital, it took weeks to figure out and somewhere in the 50's EMPLOYEES are infected from a guest that has a strain from another country hard to detect. It takes over 30 days to discover and they are FREAKED out it may get out.
Someone said scabbies now all I want to do is itch! Don't laugh you know you are doing the same thing.
@10:39 How do you think the employees feel?! lol
As much as I would love to blame Obama for the inspection, he has nothing to do with it.
It is about time that PRMC gets their house in order. No wonder staff is leaving their employ. Who wants to work in a health facility that allows a epidemic of scabies to exist. It is disgusting. Sounds like there needs to be a total housekeeping including management. The trustees need to do their job.

Nobody that I know of. It's unfortunate but it happens.
Even in nursing homes. Just take precautions and treat it.
These are stupid comments. It is a routine inspection that is done every 2 years. Calm down people. It's done at every hospital. They do certain sections at a time.

How many people have Scabies, what Strain is it and is it under control?
THAT IS FACT!
All these different people are saying that its scabies and then one person says its routine, hmmmmm, who to believe!! Lol. Guess we know where they work lol.
You sure have a lot of arm chair reader who know exactly what is going on at PRMC. With no one giving the same information, I have to wonder what IS going on - on the 3rd floor. I came to the conclusion - not a darn thing, just business as usual -but some unhappy sole wanting us to believe otherwise.
that's what they get for hiring nurses form some turd world country!
It appears there are those who are charged with damage control. The truth is there is a serious outbreak of scabies at PRMC. There are many staff members who are on leave because they are infected. The hospital is short of staff therefore a need to close a part of the hospital. And yes these inspections are normal but this one might have come earlier than expected because of a complaint. And I'm in agreement with the commenter who suggests it is time the trustees of PRMC do their job.
It would be helpful if PRMC would clarify!
Did the nurses spread it through all the sex they are having as we read in the Garry's anatomy post? The local fire departments will have scabies next
It has now spread to employees from other areas, not just 3 West.
Joe move this to top....
Doctors, transports, lab techs infected. Whose next?
Please move this to the top
This just in........ Now there is a bed bug infestation also!
With all the press that PRMC puts out touting themselves as top notch, the best on the shore etc.,etc. I would think they could get a better control of this situation. They also should really get someone in the emergency room and get that straight. Sick people sitting for hours waiting to be seen is just wrong on so many levels. Why can some hospitals do a great job and the local hospital can't do it?
OMG, people, it's scabies, not the black plague.
It can be treated and cured. You won't die.
It is contagious and can spread very fast before it is noticed. When it is noticed, people and places have to be quarantined, treated and disinfected.
Put your umbrella's away, the sky is not falling.
The reason PRMC is not telling people IS?
THe reason it took so long to come out IS?
The reason it has spread so fast and they are hiding it IS?
Becuase they run the town
i bet they are itching to get this over with .lol
PRMC believes that they run this town. They sure are big but their arrogance is even bigger! It is about time that people learn what really goes on at 100 East Carroll Street.
I bet management is bugging out about this.LOl
