A federal judge is considering whether to block enforcement of a
recent court ruling that would relax Maryland’s handgun-permit law.
The state is currently appealing a March ruling by U.S. District Judge Benson Everett Legg
that struck down as unconstitutional Maryland’s law requiring people
seeking concealed-carry permits to provide a “good and substantial
reason” for needing a gun.
Judge Legg
issued a temporary stay against the ruling shortly after the state
filed its appeal, allowing the state to continue enforcing the “good and
substantial” restriction. He is now weighing whether to end the stay or
extend it until after the case is heard by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

END THE STAY Mr Leggs...
Do the right thing
It's getting worse everyday. ALL law abiding citizens should be able to get a permit to carry.
Maryland needs to wake up and realize what so many other states have, that when law abiding citizens are allowed to carry, the criminals think twice before they commit their "business". Crime rates drop in states when they become "Shall Issue".
If you outlaw guns then only the outlaws have guns.
Look at all the states that have permits. Even legislation under way to make it legal to carry in all the states if you have a permit from your state.
O'Malley has to go...
Just say no to O'Malley
I'm ashamed to say that I am from such a flawed thinking state as MD. 41 other states have a right to carry and MD for some reason thinks we should not. O'Malley and the libs should wake up and do the right thing for once in their life. Why do we keep reelecting these idiots anyway?
The Eastern shore needs to leave the State of MD.
Delaware has carry permits, why not Maryland?
I completely agree, we have no say in what the morons across the bridge afflict on us
The state could make it a tax that people would luv to pay
