If what MSNBC is reporting is accurate, Romney isn't eligible to be President of the United States. It appears that in the early 1900's Romney's great-grandfather fled into mexico. While there, Mitt Romnry's grandfather was born there and lived his entire life there. Mitt Romney father, George, was born a second generation Mexican national. While Mitt was born here, his father George was a Mexican citizen. Under the U.S. Supreme Court case "Minor v. Happerset" http://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/88/162/case.html, in order to be a natural born citizen, both parents have to be citizens of the U.S.
It is clear by the language that Romney isn't eligible for the U.S. Presidency but perhaps more significant is that Obama isn't legally the president of the United States since he doesn't meet the Constitutional requirement of being Natural Born.
Romney should step aside now. He is not eligible and we've already had a bite of that apple. We may not have realized we were wrong when Obama was sworn in but now we do. We can't continue in a manner we know to be unconstitutional.

Too bad you don't know what you're talking about Prepper. The court case you reference does not indeed define "natural born citizen" that way. If you'd read it, it mentions that definition in a historical discussion of citizenship. Since the 14th Amendment, it's been clear that anyone born in the U.S. is a citizen. There's never been any doubt that anyone born in the U.S. qualifies to be President.
Furthermore, George Romney, Mitt's father, was a citizen of the U.S. even though he was born in Mexico. So no matter what definition you want to use, Mitt clearly meets the Constitution's definitions.
Your ignorance here shows what's wrong with the U.S. -- people spout off on topic upon which they have absolutely no knowledge. And, if I know your type, you'll stubbornly stick to your ignorance even though it's clear you are wrong. You'll probably even call me a "liberal" (although I'm not) and accuse me of being an "Obama-lover" (Even though I've probably done far more than you to oppose his policies).

Actually neither parent has to be a citizen of the United States if the child is born in the United States to be a United States Citizen. This is a fact.
The only time the citizenship of the parents come into play is if the child is born outside of the United States. If both parents are citizens of the United States and the child is born on the moon the child is a citizen of the United States. John McCain is a prime example of this being born in the Panama Canal Zone but both parents were US Citizens.
