Wicomico Recreation’s Happy Timers Program Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On March 5, 1962, a group of men and women, ages 50+ gathered at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center for the first meeting of Wicomico Recreation’s Happy Timers Club. Fifty years later, the Happy Timers still meet twice a week at the Civic Center to enjoy socializing, walking, line dancing, exercising and playing games like bridge, pinochle and bingo. The club also takes trips with local and long distance travel.

To celebrate their golden anniversary, the Happy Timers will hold a 50th Anniversary Celebration in the Midway Room of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on March 5, 1pm – 3pm. Those involved with Happy Timers, past and present, are invited to attend.
