Derrick Neumer, Prince George's County Police Officer, Arrested For DUI In Leonardtown, Md.

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -- A Prince George's County Police officer was pulled over and arrested on DUI charges, Tuesday night, police said.

Derrick Neumer, a Prince George's County officer, was driving his car 71 mph in a 55 mph zone when he got pulled over at around 10:30 p.m., on Route 5 and Mechanicsville Road, police said.

"Upon contact with the driver, the trooper detected signs that indicated he may have been driving under the influence," Maryland State Police said in a news release.
