New applications for unemployment benefits dropped to near a four-year low in the latest week, government data showed Thursday, providing further evidence that the U.S. recovery has gained some momentum.
The Labor Department reported that seasonally adjusted jobless claims fell 50,000 in the week ended Jan. 14, to 352,000 from a revised 402,000 the prior week. Economists polled by Reuters had expected claims to fall only to 385,000.

I hope this true, but I believe the numbers have been cooked to make our incompetent President look good.
This is a little misleading. It says "new applications". There are not many out there left working that can get laid off at this point lol. I know some people that their unemployment benefits ran out. Now they are out looking for a job. I wonder why they were not out looking before it ran out.
9:48 could have swore their methodology has been the same as always. But eh, who needs facts
The phrase "seasonally adjusted" should give us a clue as to the validity of this report.
False numbers they count the holiday temp jobs and don't count the under employed or those who gave up looking.
