Lawmakers are considering a House bill that would give Americans who hold permits to carry firearms in their home states the right to carry their weapons across state lines.
Although many states have entered into voluntary agreements, there is no nationwide framework for honoring permits and licenses uniformly. A bipartisan bill, co-authored by Reps. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., and Heath Shuler, D-N.C., aims to change that.

It'll never happen! Especially here in the commie sate of Maryland.Hell a decent law abiding citizen can't get a carry permit here!
They should at the very least allow retired Law Enforcement Officers to carry everywhere!
Anon 2:29 they can, its called the L.E.O.S.A. act. Law enforcement officers safety act. This should not be passed. Just what we need here in Maryland out of staters carrying all of their guns down here to the beach. Some states have no background checks at all all you have to do is a online 2 hour course and your certified.
It is funny how everyone says that the cretification is inadequate or someone might go crazy and kill someone. Have you seen these people drive? I think they should have to walk to OC because their cars are way more dangerous than a gun. Until we arrive at a point where we realize that an adult is responsible for their actions, we are screwed. It makes no difference if they shoot someone, hit someone with their car, fall off a balcony, or drowned in the ocean, life is dangerous and you are responsible for what you do or say. We can't right laws against stupidity and irresponsibilty.

Fact is, a law abiding citizen should be allowed to carry a firearm ANYWHERE in this country.
You would probably shocked if you knew how many people carry all around you.

Everyone should be armed at all times, even on planes is what I say! Think about it... if you knew everyone around you was armed, would you try anything...?
Like Archie Bunker said, if you want to end terroists hijacking planes, just give each passenger a gun when they walk on the plane.
