Going Green
Day in and day out we're seeing more and more people walking to and from the local grocery stores. What other signs do you need people. Gas is too expensive and back in the day this is how it was done. Go figure.
the carts cost about 200-300 per, so taking them can be considered theft if the store knows who took them- but on the other hand, if the person keeps using the same cart, returning with it each time, I would say that's a good customer and look the other way
4:58, Darn, I should have thought of that! I know, "Judge not lest ye be judged." OK, he actually asked the manager if he could 'borrow" the $200+ cart and return it. Sure!

That's the same guy. Maybe he just likes to walk.
The way I see it he is a thief. The carts are not supposed to leave the premesis.
anonymous 4:18, I've never seen a law that states such.

The carts belong to the grocery store. Taking them off the property could be considered theft.
I saw a cart from Giant abandoned on E. Isabella St. Guess the person who took it was thinking all about green.
Maybe he asked permission and is responsible enough to return it. Why all the personal judging?
I believe the carts actually say, "Property of XXX" on the handles. The carts do belong to the store.
