Emergency Bridge Closure

Mahan Corner Road for Scour Damage
Sandtown -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces an emergency bridge closure on Mahan Corner Road between Still Road and Route 10/Willow Grove Road due to scour beneath the center pier. The scour hole was found after a post-hurricane inspection last week once the water had sufficiently subsided. A contract is being developed to make the needed repairs. The bridge is now closed, until further notice.

Detour Routes:

Detour northbound: Mahan Corner Road traffic will travel east onto Route 10/Willow Grove Road to Pony Track Road north, turn west on Still Road and return to Mahan Corner Road.

Detour southbound: Turn East on Still Road, turn south on Pony Track Road, turn west onto Route 10/Willow Grove Road and back to Mahan Corner Road.
