DMHOA Board Members Resign

Cite lack of financial transparency as major reason

LewesCiting personal reasons, seven current or past board members – including the vice president and two treasurers – have resigned from the Delaware Manufactured Homeowners Association. But those personal reasons appear to go deeper, cutting into the transparency of the organization that has been the voice of 130,000 manufactured home residents in the state.

Former Vice President John Walsh of Rehoboth Beach said several board members have questions relating to what he called was the organization’s first full-scale audit; they also want to discuss the audit during a general membership meeting, publish it on the organization’s website and formally release it to the public. Board members said for two months, questions about phone bills, mileage costs and even a cable bill have not been answered. They claim President Ed Speraw is stonewalling them.
