CURRENT STATUS OF POWER OUTAGES

ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 30, 2011) – Governor O’Malley toured affected areas in St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties today. Tomorrow, the Governor will visit Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties to assess the damages there (revised public schedule to come).

Crews continue to work to restore power to Maryland families and businesses. Currently, there are about 258,000 outages across the state. Power has been restored to about 88.9 percent of Maryland.

The Maryland Power Outage map has now been updated to include power restored. Stay updated by clicking here. The map is updated twice daily, at noon and at 6 p.m.  The Osprey Emergency Management Map located on the MEMA’s web site also contains up to date information on power outages.

I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, just barely south of the Maryland line. With A&N Electric, we lost power for about 2 minutes on Friday night.
