Maybe if you try a little harder instead of complaining and envying (yes you are) everyone who is better off, one day you will become a millionaire.

I am sure you dont envy these guys who make millions to play a game that kids love to play for fun.

Anyway this is about the league wanting to expand the season to 18 games, while the players want to stick with the current 16 game format. The league talks about the "safety of the players" all the time and this year fining players fr helmet to helmet collisons, al in the same breath they would like to elongate the season putting players at a even higher risk for injury as many complain the season is to long now. It is very hipocritical of the owners to say this.

10:33 Boo-Hoo!!!! The 2 games in question are already played. They are currently "pre-season" games. The current schedule is 20 games, 4 of which are preseason. So, since they're aleady played, why not make them count (instead of the way it is now....they don't count but, you play them anyway)? No matter how you slice it, it's still a bunch of Multi-millionaires and billionaires fighting over money. What a joke! I could understand if we were talking about people (families) that are trying to "make a living". That's just not the case. This is a squabble between people who make a RIDICULOUS amount of money. Suck it up like everyone else has had to do. They're not excused, entitled or have different rules just because they're athletes or extremely wealthy. This isn't about envy. It's about money, and they all have plenty of it.

If you watched football at all you would know half of the starters do not play the last 2 pre season games so its not the same. Also The elder athletes are upset about the increasing size of rookie contracts as compared to their retirement plans and funds. How would you like to work in a job for 5 years only to have a newcomer join right away and make more money then you working the same position ? I would be PO'd as well. The players are upset the NFL turns it on them to make them look like the bad guys when they are apid a bunch of money, and to an extent I agree. But I also see where they are coming from if the NFL is so concerned with their safety why would they want to put them through a more gruiling season that will end careers quicker ?
