Waste Water Treatment Plant Spill

Joe

Guess you heard about another spill into the beautiful Wicomico River. The city claims it was partially treated and no big deal --so why was the river closed to all boaters and fisherman ? This is getting old --reading about spill after spill. Why is no one ever held accountable?????? Ever think all these spills might just be a health hazard to folks on or near the river? Your thoughts????

This is getting ridiculous, How many damn times must this go on before someone or the city is held accountable?? This is a tributary that runs into the Chesapeake Bay. But, I guess it's easier to blame the Poultry Industry for It's dimise. Sad !!!!! Shame On you SALISBURY MD. !!!!!!

stay far away from that cesspool called the wicomico river. Salisbury reminds me of some of those cities I've seen in third world countries with open sewers running through the middle of them!
Those aren't barnacles on your boat! lol!

The City of Salisbury will never take the blame its easier to blame the farmers and poultry growers. They love to pass the buck its alot easier then to accept making a mistake.SHAME ON YOU!!!!

What gets me is these idiot tree huggers like Mike Pretle fight any development out in the county and demand growth in the "metro core" of Salisbury. They say the septic systems will ruin the water and the ecosystem but what the hell is happening in Salisbury with their $100,000,000 sewer plant? Is it because the Mike Pretle's are concerned about the environment or is it because they don't want neighborhoods next to them?

All of these tree hugging environmental terrorist live out in the county and no where near the city of Salisbury. Don't let them fool you!

I would be nice if the citizens who live on the river were notified when this happens. I live in the county but across the river from the area where the wwtp is located and have not been notified of anything. I'll go out now and check for tampon applicators and razor blades on my shore front.
