The Big Lie: ‘1967 Borders’ Is A Fallacy, Says Former Ambassador

The term “1967 borders,” the Arab world’s mantra for the borders of a PA state, never existed, says former Ambassador to Canada Alan Baker in a research paper for the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.
Ever since neighboring Arab countries attacked Israel in 1948 as it became an independent country for the first time in 2,000 years, there were no borders, only temporary military lines defined by the 1949 “Armistice Lines” that ended, at least formally, the War for Independence.

However, the Arab world has repeated the term “1967 borders” so much that it has been adopted as fact by mainstream media and most international leaders. The term refers to the 1949 ceasefire line from which Israel military forces advanced at the beginning of the Six-Day War on June 4, 1967 and should  be called  "pre-1967 War Armistice Lines" or "1949 Armistice Lines". (INN, it should be noted, has used those accurate terms consistently..)

Even Brazil, which recently decided to “recognize” the Palestinian Authority based on the supposed 1967 borders, stated during a United Nation debate on Resolution 242 in 1967 calling for negotiations for boundaries, “Its acceptance does not imply that borderlines cannot be rectified as a result of an agreement freely concluded among the interested States. We keep constantly in mind that a just and lasting peace in the Middle East has necessarily to be based on secure permanent boundaries freely agreed upon and negotiated by the neighboring States."

What these diplomats and politicians don't, won't, or can't seem to grasp is that they are asking Muslim governments to accept ANY border with Israel. They all support factions and organizations that are sworn to destroy Israel. Sworn. Some of those governments, most notably Iran, have that as their official government position and policy. It is an historiacl fact. Israel gives land or access to the Palestinians and what do they do? Use it to get their rocket launchers closer to their targets. Then they complain (and demand) to have even MORE land. Whatever Israel does it will never be enough.

4:40....Anyone with a bit of sense knows that the media gives us the information THEY want us to have (and withholds the info they DON'T want us to have....). However, the FACTS (some people hate those things) DO show that whatever concessions Israel makes to the Palestinians (remember, Israel gave Eygpt back the land they lost when they attempted to annihilate Israel in a surprise attack), its not long before the Palestinians are demanding MORE. Israel then gives more. Which turns out to be (again) not enough. Palestinians use the land to dig tunnels for smuggling weapons and to put mortars and rocket launchers CLOSER to their targets. If the Muslims in that region would say
"we recognize Israel's right to exist and their boprders and we will stop all attacks on them", there would be peace throughout the region. You and I both know they will NEVER do that. So, who is holding up the process? The Jews? Mossad? Baby Jesus? Nope. None of them.. MUSLIMS are holding it up.
