Obama Thinks Cutting Spending Is A Joke

On a recent visit to Richmond, President Barack Obama said that he was “amused” by signs on his parade route that carried a simple message:  CUT SPENDING.

To most Americans, it isn't a joke!
“We don’t think the country’s economy is a laughing matter,” said Ben Marchi, AFP’s Virginia Rep. “I can only hope that the President will one day learn that we cannot spend our way to prosperity, and that spending away our future and the future of our children is not a joke.”

We are the joke.

The Federal Reserve prints the money out of thin air and then we little people pay them back + interest.

Stop spending? Joke. We are spending paper. The money is fiat. Most Americans do not understand what fiat currency really is and therefore the joke is on us.

Educate yourself. Fiat Currency.

If the government can issue Treasury Bills then it can just as easily (Constitutionally) issue money.

There is no reason we would pay interest on our own currency debasement.

If the government is going to monetize the debt - then fine, monetize it. They have been doing it for decades.

But really, lets stop paying interest on our already debased currency.

I am sorry you don't understand it. It is not Econ 101. You too can learn how the system works and become a smarter person.

:)

In addition to being such a nice person . . .

That's telling him. I hate people like 8:39 trying to act like they can't follow the comment. If you don't understand it, then move on. Others might gain something from the comment.

Wet water seems like a repetitious phrase. I resemble that remark.
