Obama: Quran-Burning A 'Bonanza For al-Qaida'

President exhorts Florida pastor to call off plan; says it will endanger troops

President Barack Obama said in an interview Thursday that the Quran-burning plan by a Florida pastor was a "recruitment bonanza for al-Qaida."

Speaking on ABC's "Good Morning America" in an interview broadcast Thursday, Obama warned that Rev. Terry Jones' plan would endanger U.S. troops and could lead to serious violence in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The president called it a "stunt" and exhorted Jones to "listen to those better angels" and call off the protest this weekend.

Obama is not the only person asking the pastor to stop this action. Secretary of State Clinton and Gen. Petraus are two others. Sen. McCain. Don't make this story into a "Obama is a Muslim" story.

Everyone in the US should also buirn a koran in support of that church. The only problem is that I wouldn't want to touch that filthy evil book so I could burn it.

I, as a Christian, ask him to stop as well. Hating is not what Christians do. We Love.

Do something in love... hold that higher ground.

Discussion question: Pastor Jones said he might reconsider the stunt after a direct call from the President.

Should the President make the call?

The Muslims are the only people who refuse to go along with world banking and fiat money. Therefore they must be attacked.

Anything the media can do to create hatred is being done right now before our eyes.

8:43 not money...morals

Actually it is the money they reject. They don't want anything to do with fiat currency which is printed by the Federal Reserve.

This is why China and Russia have made in-roads with the Muslim Nations.

I think this "so called pastor" is being totally irresponsible and the media is playing this up for all it is worth. If this guy with his 50 member church just burned the books in a field without the media beaming it to the four corners of the world it would not matter to anyone other than those fifty people. But the media has to play it up for all it is worth for their "ratings", even through when the "radicals" see this they are already vowing to kill Americans where ever they see them, makes the media even more irresponsible then the so called pastor. And anybody who thinks that we don't have "radicals" already on our soil is a fool. We know for a fact that they don't mind dying. They in fact want to die by killing infidels who don't believe in Islam. Why would you poke at them with a stick just for fifteen minutes of fame. This pastor says he is doing this because he doesn't want "radical Islam law" here in the US. I haven't seen any signs of that here. Have you? I think he is a nut and by the media giving him his fifteen minutes of fame Americans oversees and maybe even here at home will lose their lives. I am not saying I feel this way, I am simply using this as an example. I guess by the first ammendment it is my right to walk down Church street (I am white by the way) and say, "I hate N-word", "I think all N-words abuse welfare", and at 5 o'clock all whites are going to have a white sheet party at the corner of Truitt and Church because we all hate N-word people. Now I might live to reach the end of the street without having the stuffing beat out of me or being shot, but you can bet that at five o'clock their would be a crowd at Truitt and Church ready to do battle. That is what I feel like this pastor is doing. Stirring a pot of ****. Just my personal opinion. I understand he has the right. One other thing-he says they burn our flag. Heck, some of us burn our own flag in this country. In China they burn our bibles. Is he going to poke sticks at them next. He knows they are radicals and that they want to kill people.

Obama is asking him to be tolerant of intolerance... I'm burning a Koran on 9/11 I think it will be a new tradition .

Why is Obamarama speaking about one nutty pastor who's church has a reported fifty members? Do you think the media has overplayed this? BUT a more important question is, He defends the muslims and the Quaran but won"t defend Americans in the New York mousque issue. Way to go Barry.
