BERLIN — The estranged daughter of a U.S. pastor who has threatened to burn copies of the Koran believes he has gone mad and needs help, she said in a German media interview conducted on Friday.
Emma Jones, who lives in Germany, told Spiegel Online she had e-mailed her father urging him to drop his plan to burn copies of the Islamic holy book, writing: "Dad, leave it be!"
He did not reply, she said.
Facing an outpouring of concern from U.S. leaders and anger from Muslims worldwide, Pastor Terry Jones, of Gainesville, Florida, said on Friday he no longer planned to burn the Koran on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
But Jones appeared to leave open the possibility he could change his mind if a proposed meeting fails to take place on Saturday in New York with Muslim leaders planning to build an Islamic center and mosque near the site of the September 11 attacks.
"My father is not one to give up," said Emma Jones, 30. "As a daughter, I see the good-natured core inside him. But I think he needs help."
"I think he has gone mad," she added.

His daughter sounds like the crazy one. At least this pastor showed some guts of course it's condemned by the left because they want a pacifist society, as they're easier to conquer. He has a meeting with the Mosque builder so it sounds to me this is what they understand so why stop I'm burning a Koran tomorrow.
I give this man a lot of credit. He stood up for something he believes in. Maybe if more of us stood up for our beliefs, our Country wouldn't be in the shambles that it is in.
I was hoping he would do it. It takes a lot of courage to stand up for what someone believes in.
What I can't stand to hear is the idiots that claim burning the Koran will put our soldiers in harms way. Aren't they already in harms way by being over there fighting terrorism! Only an idiot would fall for that liber plea.
It's okay to burn the American flag and depict Jesus out of manure but burning a Koran is condemned by the Administration ?

Are you suggesting that burning the American flag is praised by any administration? This "reverand" is simply turning a hot button issue into his own reality show. Its all about the money, an if an American must die because some outraged, and rightly so, Muslim ties a bomb around his waist and rushes into a cafe, thats ok with the reverand too. Bullocks.
