How Will Wicomico County Handle The Unfortunate Death Of Sam Vincent

With new policies set in place for "Life Insurance" in Wicomico County, how will Sam's Family be taken care of.

Currently there's a Life Insurance Policy in place up to $50,000.00 and the County/State will pick up the balance of Sam's 1 year salary through the Sinking Fund.

After this Wednesday, Wicomico County will pick up the full tab on such unfortunate deaths. Mind you, this department is somewhat of a grey area in the sense that the States Attorney's Office is a State job.

There was talk earlier last week where some were questioning if they work for the County or the State. The States Attorney's Office works for the State but Wicomico County pays their salary. Nevertheless, the Vincent Family will receive a full year salary.

This topic is brought up for a couple of reasons. One is to make it clear the States Attorneys Office works for the State of Maryland. The other is, the reality of this tragic event should open the eyes of each and every one of you. A Life Insurance Policy today is very inexpensive. God Forbid your loved one were to pass away, are you truly covered? Will one year's salary cover your spouses overhead.

Contact your local Insurance Agent and check into the cost of additional Life Insurance. You'll be amazed at how much the rates have dropped recently.
