INCIDENT: Unattended Deaths
DATE: June 28, 2010
LOCATION: 400 Block of E. Walnut St, Hebron, Maryland.
NARRATIVE: On June 28, 2010, at approximately 1:18 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 400 Block of E. Walnut St, Hebron, Maryland, for a report of two suspicious deaths. The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation (WBI) assumed investigative responsibility and learned that two brothers who lived in the residence were deceased. One victim was 16 years of age and one victim was 20 years of age. There were no indications that any other persons were involved in these deaths. Cause and manner of death are still under investigation and the victims will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore on June 29, 2010 for examination.

all parents wake up this can happen to anyone of us addiction is a life sentence help these kids and dont point fingers. prayers to this family.
It doesn't even have to be an addiction. It could have been a 1st
time for either of them. I feel so bad for their parents. 2 kids lost 2 young. Parents know what your kids are doing. God please let my kids make the right decisions
So sad. This story tore my heart out to hear that a mother and father have lost 2 sons at one time. I don't know the family (that I know of, because the names have not been released), but I will still pray for them and wish I could turn the clock back for them. I can't imagine the pain they must be feeling. I pray every night my teenage daughter will be safe and make good decisions.
Wait lemmee guess white china...when it was restricted to O.R. lockboxes, there were no such problems with this drug. You are suddenly unable to breath...& that's it.

I knew the older brother from high school..real good dude and never saw it coming. Condolences to the family.
I don't know the family. But my heart and prayers go out to them. Every time I think of this, I stop and pray for the parents and rest of the family.
We have three children I can't even image. My love and prayer to this family, it will take a long time of healing, but please know God is with you all.

I cannot imagine going on vacation, leaving an older sibling to care for a younger one, only to find out they die before I ever return home. This is the epitome of a tragic event. My heart breaks for the family.
I know the family, and my heart breaks for them. Why don't we stop with the questions until the coroner's report is back? A better thing to do would be to pray for and reach out and support this hurting family.

The parents weren't on vacation. The childrens mother was picking their father up from Johns Hopkins Hospital. She received the horrible news while she was still on her way back to Hebron.
To the rest of you that are jumping right onto the overdose train, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Not a single report has listed a cause of death officially. The autopsy will take at least a few days and toxicology reports can take up to six weeks. So let's stop with the speculation and Monday morning quarterbacking and say a prayer for this family. Imagine for just a second that you as parents just learned that not one but two of your children died on the same day. Or try being the poor young boy that found his two older brothers dead. Kind of humbling isn't it. Or try being the father who had been hospitalized and looking forward to coming home to see your family only to be smacked with the reality that the last time you saw two of your sons, was the last time. So put down your keyboards and harsh accusations and go hug your kids a little tighter because there is a family that can't do that any longer. And remember it could be anyone of us (parents) that have to live this nightmare on any given day.
Is this the truth 1:04pm? No I can't imagine losing any of my children and I pray I never have to experience this. The boys were dead for at least a day because the younger boy thought they were sleeping. So my only thought was there was no contact from the parents to the kids to see if things were ok? Not passing judgement, but if I leave my sons alone even if I am only in town I call to make sure they are ok.
Bless this family. I understand there is a group trying to raise money for the funerals. Can someone let us know where to send a donation.

yes that is true. The mother had left the evening prior to go up to Baltimore because her husband was being discharged the following day.. The youngest son had stayed with a friend and had not been to the house since the night before. The kids had not been dead at least a day, the initial findings of the M.E. believed them to have passed hours before discovery. This tragedy happened to a good family. They were not troubled kids. And to all of you assuming that they had an addiction problem do your homework. The majority of over doses (not saying the death of these two young was an over dose) happen to persons just starting to experiment with drugs. As a firefighter in this county the majority of over doses I have seen from "addicts" are intentional. Most accidental over doses occur with first time users or those having only experimented a few times. So all of you should just back off and uplift this family in their time of need.
To the two young men who were tragically taken from their families, you now walk with the lord, watch over the family and friends that were left behind and help them find peace in the hard days to come.
