Pemberton Park Announces June Program Line-Up

(Salisbury, MD) On Saturday, June 5 at 11 a.m., join Pemberton staff for a Tiny Tykes Hike. Explore the world around you and delve into the lives of frogs! Learn all about these creatures with fun activities like hiking, crafts, stories and more. This program is $6 per person or free for Members of Pemberton Historical Park and is for children ages 2-4. Come back at 1 p.m. for All About Honey. Learn from Master Beekeeper Dean Burroughs all about the ways of the bees and how honey is made! Take a hike to see the bees in action too. This program is $6 per person or $18 for a family of four and is free for Members of Pemberton Historical Park.

Join Pemberton Historical Park on Wednesday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. for another Third Wednesday Lecture. This monthly series celebrates all that the Eastern Shore has to offer with presentations on history, science, culture and art. This month, Dr. Edward Otter of Ed Otter, Inc., Archaeological Consulting will be giving a lecture titled “Archaeology as a Tool for Historical Research.” The lecture will be held in the Education Center and light refreshments will be served. This program is $6 per person and free for Members of Pemberton Historical Park and Friends of Pemberton Hall.

On Friday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m., join Pemberton Historical Park for a Cracklin’ Campfire. Celebrate the end of a long school year Pemberton Park style with friends and family and enjoy storytelling, jokes, skits and sticky s’mores! Stick around for a Night Hike at 9 p.m. through Pemberton forest. Explore the park with a Naturalist for foxes, bats, flying squirrels and more. These programs are $6 per person or $18 for a family of four and are free for Members of Pemberton Historical Park.
