Departure follows criticism for lax oversight of BP, oil industry
WASHINGTON - The head of the troubled agency that oversees offshore drilling resigned under pressure Thursday, Democratic sources said, as President Barack Obama moved more aggressively to take charge of the Gulf oil spill.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar confirmed to NBC News that the head of Minerals Management Service resigned, despite earlier reports she was fired.

dont know what to say about this. some people will be happy to hear about the government involvement with this.
probably the same people who complain about the government getting involved with too much of the private sector...only after asking for the governments help...then blasting them when they do help...
