It's a terrible example the Obamas are setting by not adopting from a shelter.
There are many pure bred rescue organizations online also for those who are obsessed with owning a particular breed.
I get annoyed by all the inquiries about my dogs breeds during the summer while I am walking them. I always reply, they are shelter dogs, that's all that matters.
