Joe, This is an absolutely, uneccesary event. With a new treatment plant and all the money that already has been put into it this plant, we should be seeing less not more problems. Not only does this spill affect the farmer in which he will lose a good portion of his farm land, but I can't see how this wouldn't affect the residence in this area with concerns of safe drinking and cooking water. I think it is time for the Mayor to "man up" and do what he promised. Keeping the citizen safe. Not only from gangs, but for the tax paying community to live in other safe environment issue.
unrelated to this story but i was wondering Joe if you have any info regarding the water that is coming from the river into the libray, old fire station, and the health dept on the downtown? something like 17,000 galons of water removed etc....heard through the grapevine....just curious...sounds like expensive situation- going to digup concrete and put in pumps???thanks
Great work Joe! Does this area have well water or are these residents on city water? If it's well water, I would get a nitrate test done immediately. You cannot see, spell or taste nitrates and they can be extremely toxic in high levels. I'm also curious to know the cancer rates in the proximity of this field.
Its the only ship building company left in Maryland I think. In a depression they have contracts and work to do. How cool is that. My boy Shaggy said all legal to, how cool is that. Boy said when she hits the water for a few moments its violent and she rocks. The way they torch the bracketts to let her take the virgin slide is cool as shit to. Its a great Salisbury/American story right here on the little ole Wic-O-Mic-O, Thats cool stuff. Wonder whos buying them?

Ahh, now I understand why pumper trucks were dispatched.
How much is this cleanup going to cost taxpayers? Between the signs, pumpers, etc.. this can't be a cheap cleanup.
I hope the farmer sues, but then again its us tax payers that would foot the bill.
I say they use some of the "Free" money they get to fix this bastardized WWTP.

Hmm, I bet those crops are going to be awesome. Is he growing Tomatoes or Peanuts, which one will be pulled off the shelf this year...
Great Job Salisbury - THank you Barry
Speaking of the river they are scheduled to drop/slide the boat into the river at the local ship yard at nine in the morning. Pretty cool.
The boats name is the "Quantico Creek".

TDP, I know where you work and I can assure you, in three hours I do more work in one day than you do all week. LOL
