Virginia Questions Obama's Eligibility

'It's not law if qualified president isn't signing it'

A newly unearthed recording reveals a state attorney general explaining how the president's eligibility could be tested in the courts by a lawyer defending a client against an accusation brought under legislation signed by Obama.

The recording of Virginia Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli puts him on a growing list of elected leaders, members of Congress and state officials who have addressed concerns over Obama's eligibility to occupy the White House.

Cuccinelli released a statement this week that the recording, apparently made either while he was campaigning for the office or shortly after he was elected, was a "hypothetical" answer to a "hypothetical" question.

Spokesman Brian Gottstein in Cuccinelli's office today explained to WND Cuccinelli is battling the Obama White House on many fronts: health care, the EPA's determination on carbon dioxide and others.

"If it does get taken to court, we'll deal with it then. That's right now not what he's doing."
In an earlier statement released to Politico, Cuccinelli tried to separate himself from the recording, stating, "I absolutely believe that President Obama was born in the United States. I don't buy into the claims that he wasn't."

But the audio record makes clear his views: GO HERE to see more.

Oh. Come. On.

There are real problems to worry about in this world. Take off the tin foil hats and help out.

Tin foil hats ? Really ? Why won't Obama just show his birth certificate and be done with it ? He has spend 4 million dollars keeping it concealed . He could put this to rest today but his inaction really makes people curious surely you can understand that ! But then again you were leading the charge against GWB national guard discharge but this is ok who's wearing the hat or drinking the kool-aid ?

Personally, I did not care about W's discharge at all, I was more concerned with his policies and decision-making process, which is a great debate to have once you weed out the crazies.

Also, I would suggest you breathe in a bit and relax before responding so quickly and angrily. That way, you can remember the rules of punctuation and sentence structure so your responses are more understandable and less "ranty."

But bonus points for posting at 9-11. Kinda makes you the super-patriot, doesn't it?

IF he was born in America {which I seriously dought} He is trying to hide several cases of identity fraud, to get free collage tuition and such.

9:26 You can always tell when you put a progressive in their place they correct your punctuation and they're usually wrong about that ! And I love how you come out an attack curious people calling them names then play the calm victim when you get smacked down !

More recently he said this:

"I absolutely believe that President Obama was born in the United States. I don't buy into the claims that he wasn't. On the recording, I was asked a hypothetical legal question, and I gave a hypothetical legal answer in response," Cuccinelli said in a press release this afternoon. "As I said previously, this issue was not a part of my campaign, and it is not part of what I am doing now as attorney general." That was on March 15 (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/03/cuccinelli-i-absolutely-believe-that-president-obama-was-born-in-the-united-states.php)

So Cuccinelli is not a birther, nor is Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly or Fox News.

The Editorial Page of the Wall Street Journal, which is also conservative, had this to say:

"In truth, Obama has proved that he is a native of Hawaii, and this proof would hold up in any legal or administrative proceeding."

You said: "Why won't Obama just show his birth certificate...He has spent $4 million..."

He HAS shown his birth certificate. The Certification of Live Birth that he has shown and posted is the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and it is the only birth certificate that Hawaii issues. It no longer issues copies of the original birth certificate.

And, the facts on the birth certificate, that Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, have been confirmed twice by the top officials of the Department of Health of Hawaii.

As to the "millions spent," that is a made up myth. By far the bulk of the lawsuits were to stop the election. Then came lawsuits to stop the Electoral College from voting, the Congress from certifying the election and to stop the Inauguration. There never was a lawsuit just for the birth certificate or just for documents. And, as I said, Obama HAS shown the official birth certificate of Hawaii.

I'm 9:26-

Was I being snarky in my response? Yes, but I was not "put in my place" by any means. I believe that any rational human being that took some time and calmly thought about everything would think the entire "birther" stuff is nonsense.

Furthermore, to litter your comments with misspellings, poor punctuation, and grammar shows that you are not willing to take the time to present yourself and your arguments in a manner that are understandable, and potentially reasonable. In my mind, these type of mistakes are signs of intellectual laziness. Details matter. You would hold everyone else to this standard (especially dirty, freedom-hating libs.)

BTW - for 9:28

You cannot seriously "dought" anything. (You can doubt it, though.) Perhaps you need some more time in collage. (Or college, if you are not an art major.)

why does Kenya have a huge sign stating Kenya is the birthplace of Barack Hussein Obama and the Kenyan's are quite proud of this.

11:25

That is where his father, who shares the same name, was born.

Get over it - he is president.

1:04,

No one believes anything you say because you bring up bogus facts. You keep saying 4 million but have nothing to back that up. Experts did not deem it a fake, the crazy right wingers did. Factcheck.org has proved it is real. What college did you go to? My professors were also interested in critical thinking but if I was to hand in a paper with that spelling, they would have failed me outright. Enjoy your associates degree.

So from your mothers basement you speak for everyone ? You are laughable . Experts did say it was a copy of a copy you cannot deny this ! As for Obama spending money on hiding it just google it ! Or is that to far outside of the box for you ? Maybe you can get a job editing writers but first you might want to get a degree other than your G.E.D.

9:14 Hey basement boy Obama has produced an American birth certificate a Kenyan birth certificate has been found one has been found in Canada and don't forget the Indonesian Muslim school he attended . The school would not accept entrance of a student that wasn't a citizen or a student with dual citizenship . But like I said it really doesn't matter he will go down in the history books as a huge Marxist failure ! You certainly don't sound like a person who knows anything about critical thinking what a shame ! I'm sure you will check with media matters before responding .

Obama is registered under the name Barry Soetoro by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro. The school card lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen born Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His religion is listed as Muslim.
