Another Child Gets Her Wings, Now Please Help Send Her Home

Dear Mr Albero

I am writing to you with hopes that you may be able to help my family. Monday evening December 28, 2009 my niece, Solei Watson died from a rare childhood cancer ( Infantile fibroid sarcoma) Solei was unable to be insured due to her diagnosis of cancer and now our family finds ourselves with an inability to cover her funeral expenses. She was initially diagnosed at 18 months old and had a third of her left lung removed. After several rounds of chemotherapy Solei went into remission for 3 years. This past August she was sent home from her 1st day of school with a fever. It was discovered that her cancer was back and had metastasized to her leg and a large tumor now covered her right lung. The cancer had spread very rapidly. During this time Solei and her mother traveled back and forth to Johns Hopkins for treatment and she was unable to return back to school. Solei's only wish at the time was to get better so that she could accompany her school choir on a field trip to New York in the spring. On December 15, of this year she had surgery to remove tumors from her leg/knee and at that time doctors scheduled her for surgery on December 28 to remove the lung tumors. Sadly Solei did not make it through her surgery and went home to be with the Lord. Mr. Albero, I know that your website is a valuable asset to the community and you have never hesitated to help someone if you could. If you could post this in hopes that your readers assist our family we would be so grateful. We are asking anyone that can to please make donations directly to Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, MD. I am more than willing to offer any additional information that you or your readers might need.

Thank you in advance,

Riba Dickerson-Ndirangu

Sarah's guardians should donate the funds from that account to this cause. Just sayin.

I agree with you, 9:10AM. One good deed deserves another.

I agree with 9:10 am all their expenses have been covered and the only thing money is needed for is to help the sibling get counseling for what she has gone thru. The donated money needs to be put to a good use.

I do agree with all the above comments but not one person has actually said yes I will donate money to this little girls funeral. I understand that we are all upset about the entire situation when it comes to Sarah Foxwell but this is another beautiful angel whom needs our help. There have been so many people say that they would love to donate to Sarah's funeral but now that it is paid for in full, it's now time to stand up and help this family. Come on now, lets pull together as a community and allow this angel to have the funeral she deserves.

Yes lets take money from one child in this case children and give it to another...you people make no sense. They both need our help not one over the other. I will be donating to both.

Of course it makes sense. As stated above, Sarah's expenses have been paid for. This is simply another case of certain people capturing the hearts of America, while there are hundreds of thousands of similar cases, i.e. Caylee Anthony, Laci Peterson, etc. This little girl's family didn't have the fortune Sarah's family did. And why did we never hear about her, but we get constant updates on Brooke Mulford because her father owns a local business? So sad in my opinion. I'm sure this will piss people off, let me make it clear I mean NO ill will to Brooke, the anonymous donor in Sarah's case, I just think it's sad how certain cases are shown such "favoritism" if you will. All of these precious little children should be equal.

The one difference is they need the funds RIGHT NOW. It's good to look into the future but it is also good to help others in need. I would donate but I don't have the money right now. I'd do anything to help a friend.

11:54 are we suppose to have ESP? How could we know about this little girl? Unless the family reaches out there is NO way of knowing. People talk too much before they think.

Every one needs to STOP with the negativity, work together and be on ONE ACCORD to help put this little girl completely to rest. This is crazy and uncalled for especially when your suppose to be living examples of CHRIST. The Blood of Jesus aganist all this mess. This family needs help and hearts should be moved by this. It is tramatic enough to loose a loved one and a child at that. Get it together and move forward to help. This is a New Year and you never know when YOU may need someone to help YOU. Yes it should be personal!!! Reach out and help!!!
