The Sarah Foxwell Account Has Been Changed!!!!!
Folks, thanks to your support, the Farmer's Bank of Willards account has been changed so that there is a RESPONSIBLE TRUSTEE named to administer the funds coming in.
Salisbury News now SUPPORTS this account 100% and so should YOU.

Joe, Please tell me what they are collecting the funds for. Thank you, Cindy
I was going to donate today either way. While I do not trust Sarah's parents, I do trust those who are caring for her siblings. This was a horrible tragedy. I do know one of the family members and believe that any money donated will be used to care for Sarah's siblings and hopefully get them the counseling they will need.
I am donating today to Solei Watson in Pocomoke. Her family needs funds to give her a funeral. She died from a very rare disease and the family had struggled without insurance.
Someone who does not trust the parents of a child or a "trustee" can establish a fund for the child under the "gift to minors" law, I think. Can you confirm that, Joe.
I realize that some may not agree with me but this is only MY personal opinion. Maybe the money could be donated to build a wing at a shelter for battered women and children in the form of a play room or counseling room for the CHILDREN involved. It could be called something like...Sarah's Safe Haven or Sarah's Haven...would be a lasting tribute to her.
from a different Cindy than 11:01 I am the one who wrote the poem. Cindy W.
Yeah, I'm still confused. What are the funds going towards? So Sarah's aunt can have some time off of work? Therapy for her little sister? All ideas I agree with. Thanks Joe!
I think that the "trustee" should be an attorney or someone outside of the family that will be held legally responsible for the money they get and how it is used. I think counseling should be mandatory for this family, since the mother of Sarah had 6 children that she cannot care for. I would run through hell and every rehab (if she has a drug problem) to be able to keep my kids. PERIOD!
It really should go to a college fund for all of Sarah's brothers and sisters. I will give and I just found out about the other child that died in Pocomoke this week (from an illness) and her parents did not have insurance because the child was un-insurable. That is so sad.
Hopefully, WBOC and the Daily Times will be made aware so that others can help this family too.
Also remember there is more then one sibling affected by all of this devesation. I would venture to say that any money donated would go to the care of all of Sarah's siblings. As I am sure, that the Aunt has most definitly taken time off of work to deal this whole situation. My prayers go to all of the family along with the LE that found her. God Bless!
I would not trust W B O C to get anything right. That was some of the worst coverage and reporting of a major event in 2009 and stuck provo reporters in that didnt know what to ask.
I spoke with a "higher up" at Bank of Willards who said that a local attorney has been asked to help the family draw up trust documents for the fund (currently owned by Sarah's grandparents). However, the attorney is out of town this week and has not done the paperwork. What's wrong with putting the money in an envelope and setting it aside until we have verification that the trustee is appointed, the trust exists, who the trustee is and how the fund will be used? - Rob D.

Who is the trustee and what does the trust document provide regarding how the money will be spent or invested?
Thank you Joe!
Please let us know that the aunt who she was living with is not the Trustee.

And yes, I know this would be by far more money than what may be donated to build but maybe an existing room can be made over.

Is there any fund that has been set up to take care of Sarah's sister? Maybe a college fund? I would like to donate to that.
Seems pretty quick for a lawyer to have drawn up the docs. Are you sure the account holder's name just wasn't changed?
As it should... Thank you... Now if only it were this easy to change some of these laws to better protect children.

Very excellent change in the manner in which the account will be administered. Without the change, it was begging for misuse.

Cindy, that is the best idea I've heard yet!
I dont see why they need donations.

Joe,
I am not able to donate any money, but I would like to help. Is there anything else we can do for the family?

Rob D. You did a complete 180 huh?? Did you buy a lottery ticked during the call to the higher up?
