The baseball playoffs are far and away the best drama in sports. I think you can make a case that every pitch is an important cog to the eventual outcome. Not a big Yankees fan, its all good. Maybe my Angels will win it next year.

There was for the past 9 years which is the best part. Pay that much and fail for 9 years. You are more than tripling most teams pay roll. This is just an atrocity to baseball to have this team out there. Get a salary cap in baseball or lose fans. Yankees suck!
baseball sucks. after the strick in 93 or 94, it hasnt been the same. cry bc they dont get the 200,000 per game bonus, 10,000 for home runs and 20,000 for granslams. id rather watch obama playing spades on tv with instant replays.

I agree with a salary cap for baseball, and other sports as well. Why should they make millions for playing a game, driving a car,etc? The rest of us are busting our butts, living paycheck to paycheck. People losing their homes because they can't pay their bills. Some of their salaries could be adjusted to a more normal rate and look how much money would be left over to help those less fortunate!! Sorry that's off the subject of the World Series but it shows how messed up this country is. These sports players have been overpaid for years. And that's my two cents. LOL
1:44 Athletes, singers, actors, race car drivers can make that kind of money because the workers that bust their butts keep paying the ever rising ticket prices which allow thos salaries to be paid. The Orioles' total salary package for 2009 was $67Million. Alex Rodriquez's salary for this year was $33Million, or almost half of the Orioles' total team salary. When we as consumers stop being knuckleheads, entertainment salaries and ticket prices will fall.
