DELMAR POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASES

Incident: Drug Arrest
Location: Archid Dr., Delmar, MD
Date: November 16, 2009
Suspect/Arrested: Vince Kinley, W/M , 24 Y.O.A., Delmar, MD

On 11-16-09 at 7:55 PM
an officer from the Delmar Police Department observed a white Ford Explorer exceeding the speed limit in the area of S. Bi-State Blvd. and E. Walnut St., Delmar, MD. The officer stopped the vehicle on Archid Dr., and driver was identified as Vince Kinley. The officer smelled an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of Marijuana was located within the vehicle along with numerous prescription pills not prescribed to Kinley. Kinley was placed under arrest and transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Possession of Marijuana
Possession of CDS Vicodin
Possession of CDS Oxycodone
Driving on Revoked License
Speeding

Incident: Theft
Location: Delmar Public Library, N. Bi-State Blvd., Delmar, DE
Date: November 17, 2009

On 11-17-09 at 6:12 PM
officers of the Delmar Police Department responded to the Delmar Public Library in reference to a theft. Upon arrival officers met with an employee of the library. The employee advised that at approx. 6:11 PM a white male entered the library and took a large jug of money which was sitting on the floor by the front counter. The suspect then fled the library on foot with the jug of money. The employee advised the jug contained donations to the “Teddy Bear Fund”. The employee described the suspect as a white male in his 40’s with a brown mustache and gotee, with hair in a pony tail, who was wearing a light blue jean jacket (with a Harley Davidson insignia on back), and a red bandana worn on his head. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Delmar Police Department at 410-896-3131, or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.

Stealing the Teddy Bear fund, if that isnt cause for a butt-whippin, I dont know what is.

It's probably the guy who stole the penny jar from Harvest Ministries a few years ago.
These are desperate times for many and I think this sort of stuff is going to get worse.

Druggies are always desperate. People desperate to feed their families to the food pantries, the churches, the Salvation Army, etc.
