Wait, did I read they would be lighting the "holiday tree?" What holiday is this so-called holiday tree for? Kwanza? Ramadan? Hanukkah? For the gutless wonders that refuse to call it what it is, a Christmas tree, the Supreme Court has already said you have its blessing to erect a tree and call it a Christmas tree.

I say anyone attending this "holiday tree" lighting should show up dressed in a Halloween costume. Maybe the holiday tree is in honor of Halloween? What I really suggest is that everyone stay away from this sham until they get it right and call the tree what it is, a Christmas tree.

I won't stay away! I don't care what the tree is called. I go just to see the wonder in my 4 yr old sons face as the tree lights and at the sight of Santa.

you might want to remind your 4 year old son that it is the celebration of the birth of christ. that is the reason for the season.

I am a Christian and the 'Holiday' title does not offend me. Honestly..how many people do NOT celebrate Christmas? Maybe those people take offense like we take offense to substituting the word with 'holiday'. The tree represents a celebration for everyone. Why would it be specifically for one religion? This country practices religion from all around the world. It's a beautiful thing to have a 'Holiday Tree' for all. You people are so hypocritical
