Boxer Fernando Guerrero Joins Glen Avenue Elementary for PBIS Kickoff 2 p.m. Friday

Boxer and Wicomico County graduate Fernando Guerrero will visit Glen Avenue Elementary School in Salisbury at 2 p.m. Friday to participate in the school's kickoff assembly for its 2009-10 PBIS Program. Guerrero will talk with students about the importance of doing their best in school, of showing respect, and of practicing the positive behaviors that are the focus of the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) Program. Students will also hear from school staff about Chief Bucks that students can earn for positive behavior this year, as well as other incentives

This guy is truly a class act! Our community has needed somebody like this for a very long time. Now if only our Council Representatives could service our area and give back the way that Fernando does...

You really can't make this stuff up can ya? People get all upset because the PRESIDENT of the USA wants to give our kids some motivation to make something out of themselves. Yet in Salisbury, A BOXER is allowed to do the same thing? True, he is probably a nice guy, but he makes a living out of a cruel, bizare,dangerous sport and is apparently more of an icon than the President?????
