Pentagon Orders Soldier Fired For Challenging President

Army warrior terminated from job after questioning Obama eligibility

By Chelsea Schilling and Joe Kovacs© 2009 WorldNetDaily

Dr. Orly Taitz

The Department of Defense has allegedly compelled a private employer to fire a U.S. Army Reserve major from his civilian job after he had his military deployment orders revoked for arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.

According to the CEO of Simtech Inc., a private company contracted by the Defense Security Services, an agency of the Department of Defense, the federal government has compelled the termination of Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook.

Cook's attorney, Orly Taitz, wrote in her blog that Simtech CEO Larry Grice said he would try to find another position within the company for Cook, but nothing is currently available.
The Department of Defense does contracting in the general field of information technology/systems integration, at which Cook, a senior systems engineer and architect, was employed until taking a military leave of absence on July 10 in preparation for his deployment to Afghanistan.

"Grice told plaintiff, in essence, that the situation had become 'nutty and crazy,' and that plaintiff would no longer be able to work at his old position," Taitz wrote.
Grice made clear that it was Defense Security Services that had compelled Simtech to fire Cook, Taitz wrote.

According to the report, Grice told Cook "there was some gossip that 'people were disappointed in' the plaintiff because they thought he was manipulating his deployment orders to create a platform for political purposes."

The Simtech CEO then discussed Cook's expectation of final paychecks, without any severance pay, and wished the soldier well.

Messages left with Grice's office had not been returned at the time of this report.

The dictator has spoken!

Chicago gangster politics the Army let him out of service to keep this from a trial that might expose Obama as a foreigner. So they call and threaten the soldiers civilian boss and get him fired this is outrageous!

This is no different than the guy that worked for the eagles and made a comment against the management of the team..He got canned for posting the comment on myspace.com.

more nutcases. If this was a solider refusting to serve under Bush, this blog would have called for hanging. Pitiful

Good. This nutbag should and most likely will be court martialed as well. Has nothing to do with Obama.

How can this be happening in our formerly great country. The insane are running the asylum. Brave Iranians like Taraneh are being raped and abused for objecting to the dictator. Are we that far behind? We are losing our property rights and our personal freedoms with each bill passed by this Democrat administration and House--because no one reads them thoroughly many stealth amendments are robbing us of our freedom. Please wake up before its to late.

This person VOLUNTEERED to go to Afghanistan, then the very next day raised this objection about Obama as a reason he wasn't going to go. Are you kidding me? I can't believe you all are falling for this crud.

Please stop with these lame WorldNetDaily stories! You post them everyday and they are all one sided.

Another World Net Daily post? Did they disclose the fact that this "soldier" (and I use that term lightly for a coward) actually REQUESTED to go to Afghanistan, and when it was approved, turned it down because of Obama's "birth controversy"? He wasn't under orders, at all, he VOLUNTEERED.

And military law allows anyone who VOLUNTEERS for an assignment the opportunity to pull that request up to one day before deployment.

So, when he tried this big political stunt (orchestrated by Taitz), the Army simply said "okay, it's before your deployment date, so we'll just rescind your request" Just like that. And he talked of "disobeying his orders to go". He was never under any orders to begin with.

He won't be court martialed, and he was never in fear of being court martialed. This was a political stunt, plain and simple, and the man didn't even have the courage of his own misguided convictions.

Did WND tell you ANY of that? Of course not. Because they are a extremist right-wing publication, dedicated to distorting the truth for maximum partisan effect.

According to the report, Grice told Cook "there was some gossip that 'people were disappointed in' the plaintiff because they thought he was manipulating his deployment orders to create a platform for political purposes."

YOU THINK?! That's exactly what he was doing and the WND story didn't even TRY to look at the facts, or talk about it.

And you guys are sitting here defending this man? Really? Don't talk about Conservative "Patriotism" when you're willing to back a coward's politically motivated manipulation of the military.

If the Major was a salaried employee he could likely be terminated for conduct that causes negative attention to the company. Many companies have this clause written into salaried persons' work rules.

It's the fact that this retribution for raising a question that has not been answered ? And Chuck seems to have problem with web sites that don't pass through his state run media filter .

4:27,

Did the WND report on the facts that I pointed out, or not? Does the existence or absence of these salient facts change the story significantly or not. These are simple yes or no questions. Go ahead, give it a try!

Oh so you want to control the facts as you see them or according to your sources " gossip " give me a break. Just so you know they're not facts unless you can prove them ! uh oh back to the daily kos for your orders.

Sounds like dictatorship to me.They guy now has no job and his life will be ruined because he spoke out against Obama.Thats something you would expect in a Communist country, not here. Why don't they just take a page out of Stalins book and commit him to a mental hospital too?

Incumbents out in 2010. No questions, no doubt. Just do it.

I am so tired of people thinking that free speech means freedom from consequences. This man is entitled to say anything he wants. That doesn't mean that his employer has to put up with his nonsense. I'm sure that they made arrangements to fill his position while he was gone and now he won't be going because of what was obviously a political stunt. If I was his employer I wouldn't be happy about it either - no matter what my politics.

Why doesn't Obama JUST RELEASE the stinkin original long form Birth certificate and put an end to all the controversy?

Joy T said...

10:22P Because he can't!! Wouldn't it be easier to release the birth certificate than to employ a legal task force (which he has) to intercept anybody who speaks out or challenges his place of birth? Something really BAD is going down in this country and we have become so apathetic, we are just letting it happen. Check out how "Politically Correct" we have become to allow THIS!! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,533525,00.html

Chuck, what you said was false there buddy. You can volunteer for any mission, state side or over seas. BUT, when a mission comes up, you do receive orders for that mission. 1 or 2 things happen, you go or you get medically discharged during deployment processing. You can not just change your mind one day before deploying. LOl thats funny to hear. Once you get those orders, there is no backing out. They ask for volunteers first (through the units and posting them on military sites such as AKO), and if they dont have enough, they began picking randomly. Once you receive orders, it is set in stone because all members have been chosen to complete the mission. I dont kow what laws you are talking about.

Joe, this chuck guy is blowing smoke up everyones butt. You can not CHANGE your mind if you volunteer for missions lol. Once the numbers have been reached to complete a mission then its set. Backi out one day before deploying lol. Clown

1:04 and 1:08,

"A reserve soldier who volunteers for an active duty tour may ask for a revocation of orders up until the day he is scheduled to report for active duty,"

-Lt. Col. Maria Quon, U.S. Army Public Affairs Officer, U.S. Army Human Resources Command-St. Louis

Don't call me a "clown". Call the Colonel a clown. She's quoting military law... and I was quoting her.

So, let's see... who to believe? A Lt. Colonel in the the Human Resources Department of the U.S. Army, or two "anonymous" commenters.. hmm... tough decision.
