May 7, 2009 -- The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Maryland Sheriff’s Association are sponsoring two $500.00 scholarships to be awarded to graduating seniors from Wicomico County public schools. Applicants must be a graduating senior who is college bound and pursuing a career in the Criminal Justice field. Scholarship funds must be used for tuition, books, or other academic supplies.
Scholarship applications, criteria, and details on the selection process can be obtained from guidance counselors at all Wicomico County High Schools, or by calling the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office at 410-548-4892, x208. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is May 20, 2009.
