First I heard of this. Where was he all this time?
Kids attending Prince Street elementary within a mile radius of the school have to walk to and from school, all ages. Now I don't see anything wrong with 1/2 mile but times are different now and it is not safe for young children to have to walk to school who live a mile from the school. I tried to reason with the transportation dept. about this matter but I got no where. Alot of other parents and some teachers also feel the same way. What is a parent to do who has to be a work and has no other way for a kid? I'll tell ya, stress all morning and afternoon wondering if her kid made it to school safely! I call every morning to make sure.
It is unreal how a 10 yr old kid can wonder the streets 11:00 at night, yet nothing is said about the parents & if they will be held accountable for this. Kids don't stand a chance!
