Thank you, Joe! The NIMBYs and the folks who bow to Zoning regulations are so problematic. We need higher density (not like Manhattan, people) but higher density infill development. High density does not equal crime-ridden slums, and anyone who says that is proving their own poor education on the matter. NIMBYism is the tool of those who prefer we continue to sprawl. Zoning-mania is the tool of those who prefer we claim some God-given and intractable lockdown of CURRENT zoning. We can change it, folks. And we will. But, only with compromise and commitment to our existing towns and City. If we were investing more in our core (thank you Urban Salisbury) we wouldn't have this problem, but instead we let developers' creativity go to waste by making it perpetually easy to just pop up greenfield developments with no consideration for our towns and City.
