I used to have a cook that lived upstairs in the corner loft. He was the biggest burnout I'd ever seen! He'd quit a job to go on the road and follow the Grateful Dead for a whole summer tour.
How life changes us, the kid was great with numbers. When he was taking calculus he had a problem ten pages long on boths side and hadn't got to a conclusion yet.
He went on to be a proffessor of math at Univesity of Texas then a satelite of Penn State. I always asked why didn't he go for the DR. and he said once you go that route teaching was pretty much over.
Now he works for The Georgia State Lottery! Maybe I should have quit my job and went on tour?
