On May 4, 2009 at approximately 2:17 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were called to respond to the area of W. Main Street and First Street for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival the officers were advised by witnesses that the witnesses had heard two (2) shots fired from what sounded like a shotgun. The officers were not contacted by a victim. Officers canvassed the area to search for a possible victim and located the victim in an apartment on First Street. The victim was identified as eighteen (18) year old Charles Connor of Salisbury. Connor had received a wound to the lower right leg consistent with a shotgun injury. Connor was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. The victim Connor advised that he had been walking with friends on First Street when he heard a shot and realized that he had been struck in the leg. The victim advised that he ran to a friend’s apartment, where he was found by the responding officers. The suspect is described as:
1. Black male, 5’09”, medium build, with close cut hair, wearing a dark colored (possibly brown) jacket and blue jeans.

On May 4, 2009 at approximately 4:05 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were involved in an assault investigation on First Street and located the below listed suspect. A routine records check of the suspect revealed that the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant by the Maryland Division of Parole and Probation.

On May 4, 2009 at approximately 8:06 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Sears Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store employees who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed by employees taking items from the store without making any attempts at payment. The items were recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Stefanie Lynn Walley, 27 years of age Bishopville, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 500)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900015067
On May 4, 2009 at approximately 8:43 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Food Lion Store on Nanticoke Road for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers were advised by store personnel that the below listed suspect had attempted to take food items from the store without making payment. The food was recovered from the suspect.
