Angels rookie pitcher Adenhart killed in car crash
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart was among three people killed in a crash in Fullerton, California, early Thursday, according to a hospital spokesman.
Adenhart, 22, from Silver Spring, Maryland, died at UC Irvine Medical Center, according to spokesman John Murray.
The crash occurred just hours after Adenhart made his first start of the season for the Angels, pitching six scoreless innings in a 6-4 loss to the Athletics.
One person was arrested in connection with the three-vehicle accident occurred about 12:23 a.m. Thursday in Fullerton, south of Los Angeles. Witnesses say a red minivan ran a red light and struck two vehicles at a Fullerton intersection, police Lt. Craig Brower told CNN.

This kid had finally realized a childhood dream and pitched 6 scoreless innings in his first pro start in the majors. This is such a sad tradgedy. Thoughts and prayers are with the Adenhart family in Silver Spring. God be with you through this terrible time.
I just cannot imagine watching my son pitch his first pro game workin a no-hitter then goin to bed and getting a phone call or a knock on the door telling you that your son has been killed. My dear God, I cannot imagine.Please pray for the family.

Yes I am sure all illiegal aliens drive around intoxicated. Thats a great reason for sending them back to where ever they came from. I am so glad my parents were able to come here when they did ----60 years ago--- when it was not a crime to be from a foreign country
