Salisbury Police Department Press Releases


On April 7, 2009 at approximately 5:05 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the area of Miller Place for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with a single victim who advised that he had been walking in the area of Westchester St. when he observed a single suspect exit a green van and approach him. The victim advised that the suspect produced a small handgun and demanded the victim’s currency. The suspect was given the victim’s wallet and currency then re entered the vehicle and fled from the area. The victim was not injured. The investigation is continuing, and the suspect was described as: Black male, wearing a black bandana containing white skulls, in possession of a small chrome colored handgun

The vehicle was described as: A dark green, newer model van, possibly a Dodge Caravan,
bearing unknown Maryland registration.

On April 7, 2009 at approximately 1:15 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were on routine patrol in the area of Delaware Avenue and Tangier St. and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect for traffic violations. During the traffic stop the officers were given consent to search the vehicle by the suspect. As a result of the search, two (2) bags of suspected marijuana were located.

ARRESTED: Juvenile, 17 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Possession of marijuana

On April 7, 2009 at approximately 2:55 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Friendly Food Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a disorderly, trespassing suspect. Upon arrival the officers made contact with the below listed suspect. It was found that the suspect had damaged the bathroom of the store and would not leave the property.

ARRESTED: Marcus Leon Anderson, 20 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Trespassing
Disorderly conduct
Failure to obey a lawful order
Malicious destruction of property
Disturbing the peace

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011687

On April 7, 2009 at approximately 11:37 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an arrest warrant obtained for a theft and forgery reported to the Salisbury Police in April of this year. An investigation revealed that while employed by the victim, the suspect took checks, jewelry, furniture and an atm card without the permission of the victim. The checks were forged and cashed and the atm card was used at various locations through Salisbury. The investigation is continuing.

ARRESTED: Gwendolyn Yvonne Wright, 53 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Theft (under $ 500) – (12 counts)
Theft (under $ 100)
Theft scheme (over $ 500) – (3 counts)
Credit card offense – (2 counts)
Forgery
Issuing false documents

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011772

On April 7, 2009 at approximately 4:37 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding Worcester County District Court Bench Warrant. The Bench Warrant charges the suspect with failing to appear in court to answer charges of disorderly conduct on September 26, 2008.

ARRESTED: Shemeka Renee Hills, 30 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Worcester County District Court Bench Warrant-
Failure to appear – Disorderly Conduct

Just cause you have a hard time believing it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Welcome to 2009, secuirty cameras are more than abundant at any of these places she went and committed the accused acts. If it wasn't her she's fine.
