Hartly – The Delaware State Police have arrested a 56-year-old Hartly man for several offenses after police learned he was exposing his genitals to several people, including five juveniles.
The ensuing investigation revealed Stephen T. Pardee Jr., resides on Brittany Lane and that over the course of a year he has been exposing himself to several persons within the Amish community. Specifically six persons, a 3 yr old male, 12 yr old female, two 14 yr old females, 15 yr old female and a 22 yr old female were subject to Pardee revealing his genitals and naked body to them on several occasions between April of ’08 and April ’09.
Investigators learned the victims reside near Pardee and that on occasions he would specifically yell to the victims to get their attention while exposing himself. Other times he simply stood in his driveway with his genitals exposed as the victims walked by his home.
Police contacted Pardee yesterday at his home. After an interview, he was taken into custody without incident and charged with five counts of Indecent Exposure First Degree (M), 5 counts of Lewdness (M), and three counts of Indecent Exposure Second Degree (M). He was released on an $11,500 unsecured bond and ordered no contact with the victims.
Investigators are asking for any other persons that may have been victimized by Pardee in a similar fashion to contact detectives at Troop 3 at 302.697.2104 ext. 309.
