Show Your Talent With The Battle Of The Bands


For the first time ever, 96 Rock is hosting a Battle of the Bands at the Annual Pork in the Park festival in Salisbury, MD. 96 Rock, a Clear Channel Radio station, is now accepting MP3 format auditions from applicants to play at the Battle of the Bands. The 4 best bands will be selected to play at Pork in the Park. The winner of the Battle of the Bands will have the opportunity to be the opening act at the Ocean City Air Show on June 12th, 2009. There is no entrance fee, but acts should be able to play at least 2 cover songs and 1 original. Applicants ready to rock should send their audition in MP3 format to battleofthebands@96rocksyou.com or drop off their CD at the 96 Rock Studio at 351 Tilghman Road in Salisbury no later than April 10th. The Battle of the Bands is only one of the many fun events occurring at the Pork in the Park festival April 17th to 19th, 2009 at Winterplace Park. Over the 3 days, entrants will come from all over to participate in a barbeque competition judged by certified Kansas City Barbeque Society representatives. In addition to the Battle of the Bands and barbeque competition, visitors will also find unique vendors, exhilarating rides, and mouthwatering food vendors. Sounds like a plan, what a party it will be. That's my buddy Doug in that picture playing the Les Paul. That is a good idea for a party, I'm sure everyone needs a few days downtime as it is, See you there! The next council meeting should be interesting.

Dang! Some of them look so familiar! I am wracking my brain for names. Doug is the only one I recogonized, I think? But another looks like an old friend named Tim? Long time ago friends that I somehow lost contact with!
