LAST NIGHT AT THE ELECTION BOARD

It was a memorable moment as twilight became darkness for the Tilghman-Comegys coalition. When the combined totals for District One and the northerly part of District Two (from the polling at Wicomico Presbyterian Church) were posted it was apparent that Jim Ireton was likely to win big and that Debbie Campbell would rout her opponent for the District Two seat on City Council. At that point Mr. Ireton had a significant lead and Ms. Campbell’s lead was greater than the absentee ballots.

The mood was somber with almost total silence among the Bubba and Boda supporters who were present. Then the final tally, including the numbers from the Harvest Baptist Church polling in District Two, was announced, and it was obvious that the absentee ballots can’t change the outcome except – hopefully – for the District One seat on City Council. In that race those uncounted ballots are more than 10 times greater than the 3 vote lead that Ms. Shields holds on Ms. Polk.

Richard Insley, who apparently was there with his son as SAPOA’s representatives, was out the door like a warrant has just been issued for his arrest, followed by the other FOB&B’s. Can you say “good riddance”?

Remember guys, hell hath no furry like a politician's scorn...watch your backs...at least for a little while longer.
Those people are devious and capable of inflicting great harm, even in their defeated and lame duck states. NOW they literally have nothing to lose.
Otherwise, the reign of terror is over.

They had to run and go cook the books and do some shredding.

That was the first thing that came to my mind, too, when I heard the news.. the w__tch will be shredding documents like there's no tomorrow..

Now the SPD can pull Barries drunk driving A$$ over without fear of being fired!!! See ya on the road BEOTCH with your little blue Volvo!!

Richard Insley, make no mistake about it, this was a referendum in part on you. I hope SAPOA members recognize this and toss you out.

Do we still get 40% off our rent?

Just to provide the most contrast between then and now, how about taking an extra amount of care in making SBY a nice place again, (pick up the trash you're walking over on the sidewalk, or maybe use a biz downtown for a change). Do our own part, so to speak, even though we haven't felt like putting forth any extra effort lately. Together we can really make a difference in a very short time.

Not that I beleive this 40% off rent line, but if it's true that landlords CAN AFFORD to cut the rent almost in half to sway the election, then why were they so up in arms about an "alledged" fee increase???????????????

9:52 to Jim Ireton and Debbie Campbell. PLEASE repave N. Division Street from Rt50 to Market Street - one of the worst stretches of road in Wicomico County and its right in the middle of Salisbury.

But....what have you watched Barrie's self-praising piece on PAC-14 where she says that after she cleans out her closets and does some cookin', she'll "be back"???

In Barrie's mind, she truly thinks she's a legend of something. Her reign of terror will be remembered as the darkest tenure of a leader.

And let's not forget that Wilber gets gone too in this shake-up--we're so lucky!

Its going to take a long time to get Salisbury back people. Not going to happen over night and the Fe Gov. will not be helping a bit, to make the world right get rid of Obama Bin Ladin

Camden Ave looked like scumbag highway yesterday. Bubba and Boda signs in every front lawn of renters row. It was clear that our city was over run with rentals anf the Bubba camp was sponsored by the slumlords. My faith in the people of Salisbury has been renewed and the city can now heal itself.

9:54,
Because they never really intended to give the 40%, it was just another one of their lies. I'm telling you some of them absolutely made this promise, and then they got scared and tried to backpedal away from it. It happened, we know it did, and we are not letting it drop.

Like they are gonna make public experiences after that "letter to our tenants" disaster?

The rain of terror by SAPOA supporters is over, thank the Lord!
Jim, best you start by firing several people, start with Chiefy and Wilber and move on from their.

it's time someone add rodney long to the slumlords list.

I was and am a supporter of Mr. Boda. I was at the Board of Elections last night. You were not. Mr Boda ran a respectful campaign. He was defeated by a more experienced and more prepared opponent, these are the facts. Mr Boda will continue to try too make a difference in the community.

Richard Insley the third is a massive butt biscuit who is following too closely in his father's footsteps! It's a shame someone as genuinely nice as Blair would have to be "forced" to employ that sad excuse for a human being. Senior and Junior need to be knocked off their pedestals and dragged through the streets....
