A Cecil county man is sentenced to Life in Prison plus 10 years for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Salisbury girl.
This morning, visiting Circuit Court Judge David Mitchell sentenced 41-year-old Patrick Quesenberry to Life in Prison plus 10 years in the Division of Correction. On February 24, 2009, Quesenberry was convicted of 2 counts of First Degree Burglary, First Degree Attempted Rape, First Degree Attempted Sex Offense, Third Degree Attempted Sex Offense, and Second Degree Assault.
Assistant State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes says on or about August 10, 2008, in the early evening, Quesenberry entered the home of the victim through a second story window on Hammond Street and sexually assaulted her. Then, Dykes says hours later, Quesenberry entered the home a second time through the exact same second story window and assaulted the 14-year-old victim again.
State’s Attorney Davis Ruark says Quesenberry is originally from Cecil County where he has an extensive criminal history which include several batteries against women. Immediately prior to his release from DOC, he was assigned to the Poplar Hill Pre-Release Unit in Quantico. Upon his release from Poplar Hill, he elected to stay in the Salisbury area.
At today’s sentencing, Judge Mitchell told Quesenberry, “The marvelous thing about this country, no matter how we are born what matters is how we perform.”

Thank you, Judge Mitchell. Hang 'em high! More sentences like this, please.
Even though I would handle this in a matter that would probably make most of you puke, this will get over turned.
one down many to go
Good! put him in with all the horny criminal men so that they can do to him what he did to that child! We need more judges like David Mitchell!!!
I don't know if its "visiting judges" or what but, boy, it seems like lately the judges have been giving out some really long sentences in the past two weeks. What seismic shift has caused this?
Even though I don't understand his closing statement (???) I applaud his putting this guy where he can't harm anyone else.
Why aren't JUDGES elected? In the afterglow of a very successful election, it's just a question.
Detective S,
You are the man!!
His cell is going to smell real bad for those last 9 years 11 months.
Detective "S" had nothing to do with capturing this scum. Ofc's Willey, Hughes, and Mcmenemy caught him as he was coming out of the house. Thanks to their quick response and properly processing the scene.
There should be a rule that when people are paroled from Shore correctional facilities they have to go back where they came from!
Whatever the judges are drinking lately, buy them another round ! Finally some sentences that keep a few POS off the streets for a long time. Hopefully this will continue.
