Hebron's "Town Manager" (heads up to Hebron: you do not have that position in your Charter and you are not a Town Manager form of government) sent out official notification that the deadline for filing to run for the three seats on Commissioners was April 4, 2009. The election is April 14, 2009.
All of a sudden, Hebron realizes that only weeks ago the Town did a Charter Amendment making the deadline 30 days from the election and the deadline for filing wasn't weeks away--IT WAS FIVE DAYS FROM NOW ON 3/14/09. Town rushes to get out a mailing telling of the short deadline for filing for office.
Hebron just cannot seem to get even simple things right......

Who is the "town manager" -- person who sent that letter?
Hebron needs a clean sweep of leadership (they have none) and others. They are totally clueless and arrogant.
It's M_ _ Y--she was the Town Clerk until about a year ago she began signing off on things as "Town Manager" -- Hooper just let's it go; can't be bothered.
I think the girl does try to do her job as best she can, but to take on this title this way misleads people as to the type of town government Hebron is.
Wouldn't you think the TWO town attorneys would get a handle on this? Nope.
She does a good job of popping her chewing gum at meetings, however. Very funny to watch--brings some humor to the meetings.
Somebody, please file to run for a seat in Hebron--and do it by Friday the Thirteenth--this Friday.
Otherwise, Hooper and his mindless followers will continue to lead Hebron into dispair.
Mike Carbaugh for Mayor of Hebron City.
Somebody needs to look into the requirements of advertising connected with elections. I know one town had to postpone their elections because they didn't publicize it correctly the first time, in enough time.
If the Hebron citizens don't watch what is happening here and do their checking and hold Hebron powers to the irons, it's their own fault.
Certain things (Gov't related) HAVE to be advertised within so many days of a happening. There is NO runaround for it, it's either done, or they break the law by continuing.
The election in Hebron was advertised correctly in the newspaper. And, if people went to the town meetings, they would know when the election and filing deadlines are. As for the leadership of the town, they know what's going on and talk to the CITIZENS WHO ACTUALLY LIVE IN HEBRON. No increase in property taxes for over 20 years and no water and sewer increases for over 15 years. Not a bad overall record. Mr. Alberto, why don't you come to some of the local meetings so you know what you are talking about; that would be a suprise.
Maybe it should have been advertised in the Guide. you know, the print media that people read.
