New Law Would Regulate Maryland Puppy Mills

SALISBURY, Md.- Maryland lawmakers want to shut down puppy mills. Currently, the state has no laws to regulate puppy mills.

A new regulation will cap at 50 the number of dogs, over the age of 4 months, that breeders can have at one time. It will also establish size limits for enclosures and enact exercise equipment requirements for breeders with more than 10 dogs.
