I grew up in Salisbury and now live in Florida, but my mom still lives in Salisbury. She had something really bad happen to the pipes in our house (I would go into detail but I don’t understand it, so I’ll leave it at that) and she needs to contact a plumbing service to fix things. She can’t use the water at all (toilet, shower, anything) until it’s fixed. I read your blog quite frequently so I can stay “in the know” with Salisbury, and I was wondering if you could recommend a good, reputable plumbing service for my mother. She has never had to use one (at least in the past decade) so she doesn’t know where to start. I figure that since you seem to know the good and the bad of what’s going on in town, you might happen to know a company she can trust."

We use Wilfre, Co., out of Hebron for our plumbing and hvac needs.
They're here when they say they will be here and their guys are ALWAYS very professional.

Powell's in Pittsville also gets my vote. He answered when I called, came when he said, did a good job, and charged fairly.

Gannon's Plumbing / Heating in Eden Md do an excellent job.

I second Foxwell plumbing. Their service is unmatched. We have used them for both personal residences and rental properties. They are professional, courteous, and honest.
Just another thought, if your mom lives in Salisbury, you might want to make sure she's paid her water bill. They shut water off within 7days of the bill being due, WITH NO NOTICE. Been there, done that.

I called wilfre once upon a time and I was informed that they only did commercial plumbing I called Gannons an have for 15 years..
We use Black Diamond Plumbing and Heating 888-479-2925. We highly recommend this company.
Our water pump died on a Saturday morning in July and we had no water. Which meant no facilities. We called every plumber in the book and this company was the only one to respond. Even "Same day service" and Cox there plumber was not working that weekend. Black Tie was not able to fix it, they did not have a replacement pump that day but came first thing on Monday. After spending all day fixing the issue they realized the company that installed the original pump never grounded it and that it why it failed (hit by lighting). This company did not charge us for the Saturday emergency visit and wrote a note for our insurance company so we could put through a claim.
Monday all the companies we called on Saturday all called back willing to help. All of them advertise emergency service but non provided it. I guess the emergencies they handle are Monday thru Friday 9-5.

Stay away from Powells plumbing. They are very undependable and would never return my call. I to thought I would give them a chance because they were recommended. I tried for over a year to get him to do my job. He wouldn't even return my call.
Finally I called Affordable Plumbing and he came to my rescue. He only charged me $500 for the same exact job that Ricky Powell charged my neighbor $1,500 for. Ricky Powell you are a crook and I wouldn't recommend you to work on Barrie Tilghman's home.
