Thank you for your assistance with the “Bonfire for Brooke”. Many local businesses have donated the services and items necessary to make this a successful event. What we now need is logistics help. Our lot is 2.5 acres but may not hold all of the vehicles. If you could reach out to your readers we need some help contacting Home Depot for additional parking and a couple of minivans to help shuttle attendees. This may not be needed but would be very important if several hundred people decided to attend. Home Depot is the closest parking lot to our location and seems to make the most sense.
Again, thank everyone for assisting with this most worthy cause.

As the mother of a little girl,I cannot stop thinking about the Mulfords and how they are coping right now-I will keep them and Brooke in my prayers.
Faith Baptist Church is right down the road, they have a large lot maybe they could help.
Maybe the Church on Dagsboro Road would be more apt to participate with overflow parking for the occasion. Just a thought, they may be more willing than Home Depot but you never know!
how about sam's club or the back parking lot at the mall
Doug, contact Rick Pollitt and ask if you can use the Leonards Mill/Tourism Center Parking lot or MSP, ask them if the scales are closed can you park people over on the southbound lot and shuttle people across the highway.
We just lost one person walkin across the highway the other day, its probably best if they stay on the east side of 13, and dont bring politics into a post thet deserves nothing but respect, its got no class.

They own the property where the Chevron is next door. In the back is a large area for tractor trailers to fuel up. Maybe they would be willing to allow parking in this back area.
Doug Wilkerson, what politics? If you are referring to the comment about asking Rick Pollitt, it wasn't meant as political it was meant as a suggestion for overflow parking. It would be easier to shuttle people from there down to the light and back northbound on 13to Doug Marshalls place on the highway. That's a pretty good sized parking lot over there and the tourism place should be closed by then.

I hope that the Sheriff and State Police have been asked to help with traffic. While it's great that the Marshalls want to help, there are other ways that folks can contribute to the family without endangering people in difficult traffic situations. Friday nights are horrible along Rt 13 with frequent calls to the Delmar Fire Department anyway, without this added obstacle. Stop by the Market Street Inn and offer a donation through the employees or perhaps a donation dropped off at Trinity Church or Salisbury Christian School.
Anon 8:35 AM - I plan on attending Friday night as it is best suited for me to go then. The more benefits put out there the better. Thanks to all that decide to come.
