Tractor Trailer Drives Through Restaurant
This just in Folks. A Tractor Trailer just dove through and is stuck inside a Diner about 1 mile East of Cambridge. Two Police Officers are now on the scene and we're not sure if anyone was injured. Hopefully more reports and perhaps pictures come in later but my source tells me he saw the truck inside the restaurant.
Update: The truck ran through the side of Captain Don's Nautical Supply. This photo, taken with a cell phone was sent in by a loyal reader

It was a BTL fuel truck that ran into the building. The HAZMAT team is on site now.
I hope he didn't think it was a drive thru....the driver is waiting for his coffee to be served!
Maybe he called his order in, you know diner food is served fast and he wanted a quick pick up. Hopefully no one spilled their coffee when he came in.
It was an Antique store
hummmmm!Wonder if he travels across the bay bridge?
I'm wondering if the driver had a heart attack. It happens to often out on the road. I've lost many friends to heart attacks while out on the road. Fortunately they were parked or pulled over to the side when they felt it coming on. Either way, they met their maker while on the job.
He does travel across the bridge. BTL (Baltimore Tank Lines) is located in Glen Burnie, MD. Given the direction it was traveling, it was probably empty.
The building is Don's Nautical Gift Shop.
OMG I love that gift shop and the owner is SO nice. I hope he is okay. He is always there in the daytime and he works in the wood shop part on the right often.

I hope I am not one of your friends!
Anon 353 you are probably one of the youngblood drivers I wouldn't know. The fellas I'm referring to are Ray Carleton, passed away in his truck up on the Jersey turnpike and Ota Stevenson, lucky enough to pull over to the side of the road in Stevensville out on Rt 50. There have been others but these are local drivers many of us older guys knew. They both passed on doing what they loved, something to be said for that. May they both rest in eternal peace.
I think I recently saw the name Ota Stevenson on a truck?
This happened around 7 am. No one was in the shop at the time. Only the driver was injured, but I don't have any info about the driver.
The truck was empty and normally hauled diesel.
439 you probably did see a truck with Ota's name on it. His family still runs the business. They have 5 or 6 trucks running up and down the roads.
oh I am so glad to hear the owner wasn't there!
