If this inspires young black men to take charge of their own lives and make something of themselves instead of thugging and standing on the corner, then Obama is a great role model. I don't see the problem.

First, I couldn't hardly understand a word they were saying. Yes, a great health care plan...but guess who's paying for it???? Those of us who already pay for our own insurance and for those that are to lazy to go out and get a job. Now it will just be more money out of our pockets. Someone please tell me why I live pay check to pay check working two jobs and over 60 hours a week and still have no money left over, yet 25% of Salisbury (if not more) sit around all day doing nothing and get paid for it?????

I cannot believe the amount of hate-mongers who are on this site. These children are doing part of a step show. It is a dance that finds it roots in traditional Africa dance. It has been part of mainstream African American culture for decades. This dance is apparently dedicated to Senator Obama. Many times it’s dedicated to fraternities. Here have even been step competitions held in this area.
It has nothing to do with any militant organization or cult. It is just a type of dance. What is the matter with you people? Do Blacks (even our children) scare you so much that even when they celebrate or dance it offends you? Would you feel better if they were doing an Irish Folk dance?
The amount of deep racism in this area is incredible. Even when Blacks are doing nothing wrong they are still suspect and threatened. You are trying to turn the clock back and it is not going to work.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware has always been a hidden peninsula of hate, racism and slave mentality that I remember since 1966. Blacks and Whites have always pertended that they liked each other. The truth of the matter is we didn't then and we still don't. Check out the statements made on this blog. Older folks (Blacks and Whites) have been lying to each other for decades. It will take the younger generation to change this destructive mentality that has destroyed this area. Just be patient. This ugliness will die out with the old generation. The old white and black racist dinosaurs are dying and there hatred is being buried with them. Look at the inter-racial relationship that is occurring in front of our eyes. Your white daughters are marrying and/or having babies with our black sons. Some of these couples are actually living in the areas you claim were destroyed by Blacks. (for example, the District of Columbia). Stop hating and realize our econmy is in bad shape because of Reagan, Clinton, Big Bush and Little Lame Duck Bush economics. It is time for a change. I believe Obama will accomplish the task. How much damage can Obama do that every other White President has already done. The answer to that is none.

There was a black gentlemen getting coffee in WaWa the other day sporting a Barrack Hussein Obama pin, (it didnt really say Hussein, I just think thats funny) and we got talking and he said you votin fo Obama? I told him I hadn't made up my mind yet(even though I have) and asked him what a good reason to vote for him was, he said that Oprah wouldnt steer him wrong and he is going to be like Peter Pan and rob from the rich and give to the poor, and make it so people have the same stuff. Boy that really gets my vote. I dont work my ass off so that other people who dont do shit can have the same stuff I do.

I grew up in a neighborhood where the only other kids I had to play with were black or mixed and we all got along pretty well.My Mom & stepdad led by example,and treated everyone fairly regardless of race and thats the lesson I learned and I did not realize that it was taboo in some peoples eyes to play with kids of color until some racist A-hole said something about it.Its the kids,black and white,who are "sheltered" from people different from them,who will grow up having no F-ing clue how to get along with people.Alot of people send their kids to private schools they cant afford just to keep their kids away from the "wrong" kids.Its all a bunch of bullcrap we can live without.

It is what it is. Look at the stats. I am tired of people trying to say its racist when stats show more black people are convicted of crime. Its proven. Its not racist. And its almost 2010. Why hasnt things changed? Now a days every American has the same chance . Blacks, whites, everone. They go to the same schools, can get the same jobs. Hell, with the dumb ass affirmitive action plan... blacks should be even in jobs, right?
It should all even out. Get an education, dont feel sorry for yourself. Every person, white, black, grey, or purple has the same right and reality of making something of themselves. Maybe "you people" and I dont mean that derogatory, seem to think you dont have to work as hard as you feel you are more entitled due to the past. well this isnt ythe past... this is now and it should be every person no matter what race doing the best they can instead of sitting on their ass and expecting entitlements.
