WBOC Jumps On Board With Sbynews Story About Nithsdale

GO HERE and see WBOC's story about Nithsdale and the recent worries and vandalism throughout that community.

How do YOU feel about a Security Camera being installed at the entrance of a community so they can keep track of who's coming and going?

Cameras are a nice touch. But if you are really trying to pull off a job and aren't just some wacko who decided at the last minute to drive in and if maybe you did a little research on what you were getting ready to rip off...a little homework will get you around the stupid cameras. Wasn't there this great system of community watch years ago?? People looking out for themselves and their neighbors?
The only thing the camera is going to help catch is the spoiled little rich kid sneaking out at night.

Let those folks in Nithsdale put their own security cameras up on their own property. It will decrease their homeowners insurance as well, not that they are worried about the cost. Cameras at the entrance won't deter anyone that wants to break in and rob those folks.

We have property within a gated community, complete with cameras on the entrance area. When there was a string of thefts and break-ins, it was traced back to someone who actually lived in our community.
He never had go past the cameras on his quest for stolen goods.

Tap my cell phone, put me on camera. It really doesn't matter to me. When you abide by the law and having nothing to hide, I don't see the big deal. Now I know some of you will go ballistic because you don't want Big Brother shadowing you but I could care less. If it will stop the thievery, vandalism and terrorism, go for it. I'll even smile for the camera.

i wouldnt want the cameras not that i have anything to hide. Its about our rights and privacy being invaded. Our rights are slowly being taken away in the name of security and its alot of times an excuse just to take them away. If you have insurance its all replaceable anyway. Keep your cameras. I'll make sure my insurance is paid up.
